We're Getting Married!

We worked together for four years—not quite friends, more like friendly colleagues who exchanged the occasional emails and made polite small talk in meetings. But over time, we discovered connections beyond the office: shared friends, similar tastes, and a surprisingly effortless way of talking to each other. 

We kept bumping into each other at mutual gatherings, where casual run-ins turned into long, easy conversations. And before we knew it, those conversations turned into all-day, every-day chats—from the moment we woke up until we went to sleep.

We had casually mentioned grabbing lunch sometime, and one Friday, we finally did. That "quick lunch" turned into an eight-hour marathon: lunch turned into drinks, drinks turned into a bar, and before we knew it, it was midnight and we were still laughing. Before parting ways, we both shared how we truly felt. 

Jess had always thought Esteban would stay firmly in the "good coworker, nothing more" category. But deep down, she knew he was different—and worth the risk. That night, we decided to give “us” a shot—and we’ve never looked back.

Before that, we each ventured out on our own professionally. (Fun fact: we’re now direct competitors—but we never actually compete... and between us, we all know who the real boss is hahah).

Since that not-so-quick lunch, we’ve spent three amazing years traveling the world, giving it our all on every dance floor, going to soccer games, chasing the perfect cup of coffee (and glass of wine, of course), and being each other’s best friend and biggest cheerleaders. Through it all, one thing has been true: tú y yo siempre — you and me always.

On May 29, 2024, during a trip through Europe, we found ourselves in the rolling hills of Chianti, Tuscany. In the middle of a beautiful vineyard, Esteban got down on one knee and asked Jess to marry him.

She said yes. And here we are.
